If you’d like to relax, move a little, and be part of a supportive community, come and step into the circle—you might be surprised how good it feels.

Circle Dance is a joyful and inclusive form of movement where people dance together in a circle, often to traditional folk music from around the world or to contemporary melodies. The dances range from slow and meditative to lively and celebratory, making them accessible for all ages and abilities. No partner or prior dance experience is needed—just a willingness to join hands and move with others.

Classes take place at Birdwood House, Totnes on Wednesdays 2 -4 pm. I work in collaboration with Lucie, another experienced teacher.

Why Circle Dance could be just what you're looking for...

Circle dance is an ancient and universal form of movement where people join hands and move together to music from around the world. The steps are simple and easy to learn, making this practice open to everyone—no partner or dance experience needed.

It’s not about performance, but about connection, presence, and shared joy. Some dances are lively and celebratory, others are slow and meditative—each one bringing its own rhythm and energy.

Circle dance offers a space to slow down, connect, and be present. Whether you come for gentle exercise, community, or a deeper spiritual experience, you’ll find yourself welcomed into the circle.
